mother earth you amaze me.

i have officially been a resident of columbus, ohio for 5 years now.  (wow)

over these years i have discovered plenty of places i love in and around the city- but until this past summer i had never realized how wonderful the hocking hills and wayne national forrest really were.  i made several trips to old mans cave, cedar falls and ash cave as well as canoeing down the hocking river.  its amazing to have such a place only an hour away!!

mark was part of an archeological field school and practically spent his entire summer semester out exploring these beautiful areas.

sunshine, fresh air, nature at its finest!
and duh! we have took a lot of photos of our adventures.  enjoy!

sometimes ohio... you really are kind of great!

cheers!

thrills and spills.

i wouldn't say i'm the most daring person in the world.  i'd like to be. i'm just not.  i daydream of being adventurous and chasing my dreams... it never seems easy.  but good news is... i still dream!!!

i absolutely love the idea of adventure!  so who doesn't LOVE a good amusement park??!!

mark and i went to cedar point in sandusky, ohio last summer.  it was sooo fun!  we got up super early, hopped in the car and got there at opening!  i'd only been there once before many years before and he grew up in that area... but it was our first time there together.  magic!  i tried to take photos of every ride and attraction we went on.  it was an exhausting and wonderful day.

yeah... i LOVED the ferris wheel on lake erie (as you can tell).  its absolutely breathtaking from the ground.  no way were we going up there though LOL!!! like i said... i would LIKE to be daring and adventurous, but i'm not really ;)

i cant wait for many many more adventures to share.

cheers!

our all american trip to d.c.

last year mark and i took a road trip to washington d.c. and met my parents for a mini sightseeing vacation!  it was truly awesome.  we walked that entire city in a few short days, a true whirl wind adventure!  luckily my camera catches most everything.  pictures are from the iphone or my canon.

appropriate wardrobe choices for our nations capital.

rest stop in a state i hadn't been to before - Maryland!

and our signature vacation drink of captain and coke in the hotel after a very long drive.

first stop was the white house of course!

such tourists lol thank goodness for my iphone<3

 two peas in a pod.

so cute, they wanted to follow him. "are you my mother?"

going to washington d.c. with two veterans - my dad and my fiance - was pretty spectacular and emotional.  such a great memory and experience!  thank you to all of our service men, women and animals and happy 4th of july!!!  our nations capital is something that every american should see!

cheers!
