the streets with brotherly love. day two.

our mini december get-a-way was a great chance to use our cameras in a way we hadn't most of the year. obviously if you have been following you know we have most definitely used our cameras this past year a lot, but never strictly for our own pleasure.  it was the first time that we have just roamed around with no major task at hand.  snapping pictures of anything we desired.  it was great!! we seem to naturally capture images that compliment each others work.  i love the different ways we see the same object.  this trip has helped us grow.

lots of museums, walking city streets, taking photos, history lessons and fancy places to have a martini.  it was such a great adventure and we honestly look forward to returning sometime in the future for another go at the 5th largest city in america :)

we have already started to plan our next venture: Washington DC.

peace & love~

the streets with brotherly love. day one.

mark & i have been together since 2009 and have never left our great state of Ohio as a couple. Don't get me wrong, we have gone a lot of places and probably seen every corner of this silly state...but never really outside of its borders together. (unless you count our day at the newport ky aquarium, but come on...you could see the cincinnati bengals stadium. so it doesn't count.)

anyway, we recently planned an adventure to Philadelphia PA to see my most favorite lady in the world... Tori Amos. We spent an extra day in a lovely and historical hotel amidst the art and shopping district of downtown.  it was truly amazing and a wonderful way to start our third winter together.

it was an evening with all of my favorite things that i wont soon forget.

the academy of music was one of the single most gorgeous venues i have ever seen....and i have seen a ton of different concert venues.

i have seen her three times and this one was by far my most favorite.

after the show we took a brisk walk (in our dress clothes so we would feel fancy) and came across a beautiful park.  it was rittenhouse square at night, all decorated for christmas.  such a lovely find.

so naturally we took pictures of each other in front of their giant tree!  it was a very very happy december 1st and our 1st night in philadelphia.

peace & love~
